Marcy K. Brodsky

Ashrei Foundation Board Member
(she/her)

Retired after 43 years in the insurance industry.  Primary focus as a commercial property and casualty lines broker working to support the insurance needs of clients in the Private Equity space.

Bachelor's degree in Social Work.  Although my career took a different path, I have pursued many community volunteer opportunities over the years.  As a Central Reform Congregation member for over 30 years, I served on the board and participated in planning community action projects as part of the social action committee.  I led the Weatherization Project for 11 years in partnership with Grace Hill Settlement House which provided our neighbors a warm space in their homes each winter.

I am the Treasurer for University Hills Women.  We formed a group in our subdivision for welcome basket delivery to welcome new neighbors.  We also plan events to "know your neighbor" and increase community within our subdivision.

For 15+ years I have been a part of the St. Louis Metropolitan Joint Venture dialogue group which is a monthly gathering of CRC members along with African American members of a Presbyterian Church.  For the past 2 years I have volunteered with Spirit of St. Louis Women, a collective giving cooperative, to identify and evaluate local non profits worthy of grants to support their work.
