A clinically trained speech and language pathologist, Rhoda worked in a clinic in the Boston area where, in addition to a clinical practice, she supervised a team of physical, occupational and speech therapists as well as a small school for children who were behaviorally challenged. She also chaired the board of an after school daycare program which her children attended.

Rhoda moved to St. Louis 26 years ago and, until retirement, was an adjunct faculty member in the Fontbonne University department of communication disorders. 

Since moving to St. Louis, Rhoda has been active with the Anti Defamation League, chairing the education committee and serving as a local and national board member.
