Criminal Justice Ministry Summer Celebration

  • Il Monastero at Saint Louis University 3050 Olive Street St. Louis, MO, 63103 United States (map)

From Missouri State ID Access Coalition Member, Criminal Justice Ministry:

All are invited for an unforgettable day where we celebrate resilience, transformation, and the journey home from incarceration.

Schedule:

Reentry Simulation: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Step into the life of someone coming home from prison. Through this hands-on simulation, you’ll face the same obstacles our clients do—finding housing, securing work, accessing ID and transportation—all while trying to stay afloat. It’s a powerful way to feel the weight of reentry and understand why CJM’s housing-first support can mean the difference between hope and hopelessness.

  • Who should attend: This experience is designed for anyone who wants to better understand the daily challenges of reentry—from community members and volunteers to students and professionals working in housing, healthcare, education, law, social services, or government. Whether you’re already involved in reentry work or simply want to grow your empathy and see CJM’s mission in action, this simulation offers a powerful, hands-on perspective.

Celebration Lunch & Client Recognition: 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM

Join us for lunch and a joyful celebration of CJM clients who have overcome reentry obstacles and are building strong, stable lives. We’ll share a meal, recognize our incredible volunteers, and honor clients graduating from CJM’s housing and reentry programs.

  • Who should attend: Everyone! CJM clients, loved ones, volunteers, community members, supporters, and leaders—this celebration is for all of us.

While the event is free to attend, we encourage a $25 suggested donation to help cover materials and support CJM’s reentry housing programs.
