The Ethical Society of St. Louis is hosting a Sunday Platform series called Empowered Together, focused on human dignity, shared responsibility, and how ethical values are lived out through collective action.
Ashrei’s Executive Director, Sara Ruiz will explore access as a core justice issue, showing how barriers to something as basic as a photo ID or timely, compassionate support during increased immigration enforcement can determine whether people are able to live safely and participate fully in their communities.
Drawing on Ashrei’s work, from the North City Photo ID Project to coordinating a 7-day-a-week Rapid Response Hotline, this presentation connects real community impact to the broader fight against economic exclusion and systemic oppression.
Join us for a conversation on what it takes to remove barriers in Missouri and how each of us can help build a more just and inclusive community.
The Ethical Society is a welcoming Humanist congregation dedicated to reason, compassion, and community. Our weekly Sunday gathering, called Platform, features thought-provoking speakers who explore ideas that inspire personal growth and positive change without reference to any religious doctrine or deity.
All are welcome!
