Immigration Justice Volunteer Training

  • MaTovu 4200 Blaine Avenue St. Louis, MO, 63110 United States (map)

Join the Ashrei Foundation for a training event designed to equip volunteers with the tools to stand in solidarity with immigrants in our community.

This one-stop shop will prepare you to take action through two key volunteer opportunities:

Hotline Operator Volunteers:

Operators answer calls remotely and work as part of a volunteer team to assess the caller’s situation, engage additional supports and respond with care and compassion. Operators must be bilingual, but additional support roles are open to monoligual English-speakers. All are welcome.

Immigrant Family Emergency Response Fund Volunteers:

IFER Fund Volunteers work in teams to coordinate and deliver direct cash assistance to immigrant and mixed-status families impacted by immigration enforcement. Volunteers use the Signal app to communicate and ensure secure, successful deliveries. Teams include both English-speaking and bilingual volunteers—bilingual skills are helpful but not required.

This event is hosted by MaTovu open to the public!
