The People’s Response:

In the wake of last week’s devastating storms, Action St. Louis and For the Culture STL launched the People’s Response Hub to meet the urgent needs of our neighbors across St. Louis.

From the org May 30th: “As we continue to respond to the impact of the tornadoes in North St. Louis, we are extending the operations of our two Northside relief hubs through Friday, June 6.

This extension comes as we work with the City of St. Louis to establish the infrastructure needed for a medium- and long-term recovery effort that truly serves North City. In the meantime, we will continue to stand in the gap to ensure residents have access to the most fundamental things they need—supplies, support, and stability—while that transition is being built.

We will continue to need supplies, food, and toiletries, as well as volunteers. We love our city, and we will not stop working to make sure the Northside is whole. Please visit actionstl.org/tornado to sign up to volunteer or request support.”

The People’s Response Hub will continue to launch from the O’Fallon Park Rec Center at 4343 W. Florissant Ave from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. In response to the community, we will also offer lunch from 12 p.m.-1 p.m., and dinner 5 p.m.-7 p.m in O’Fallon Park daily.
