Welcome new Ashrei staff
Welcome Rachel Pozzo and John Stamm to the Ashrei Foundation Team!
Ashrei is growing leaps and bounds and we’re thrilled to welcome two incredible new full-time staff members to the Ashrei Foundation team: Rachel Pozzo, Project Coordinator, and John Stamm, Director of the Missouri State ID Access Coalition.
Each brings deep experience, compassion, and a shared commitment to Ashrei’s mission of building pathways to belonging and opportunity.
Meet Rachel Pozzo, Project Coordinator
Rachel is passionate about helping people build the lives they want for themselves. A lifelong St. Louisan, she comes to Ashrei with a background in education and advocacy. Before joining our team, Rachel worked with the Immigrant Home English Learning Program and served with AmeriCorps at the International Institute of St. Louis, supporting newcomers in achieving their goals through language learning and community connection.
Rachel’s initial programmatic focus is expanding access to government-issued identification in Missouri through program coordination, volunteer management, and direct community member engagement to support out Photo ID Project.
When she’s not working, you’ll likely find Rachel reading a good book, exploring the outdoors, or experimenting with new recipes. We’re so excited for the heart, creativity, and care she brings to her role at Ashrei.
Meet John Stamm, Director of the Missouri State ID Access Coalition
John brings extensive leadership experience across the nonprofit and public sectors, with a career focused on coalition-building and removing barriers to equity. His past roles include Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Kansas City, Interim Executive Director of Central Reform Congregation, and founder of a civic tech startup dedicated to government transparency.
Throughout his career, John has guided organizations through times of transition, developed new pathways toward shared goals, and united diverse stakeholders around issues of housing, health, and public safety. Most recently, he launched a technology platform designed to make government information more accessible to the public—an effort that mirrors his commitment to open, equitable systems.
Ashrei is proud to serve as the backbone organization of the Missouri State ID Access Coalition and John looks forward to collaborating with partners across Missouri to advance the Coalition’s mission of ensuring equitable access to identification for all Missourians.
